Featuring a crafted Chinese typography that juxtaposes elements from serif and sans serif fonts, the significance of history and modernity is synthesised with a liveliness to the theme. Visually expressed through minimalist lines and graphics, aspects of musical instruments’ shapes and a profile of the “Sheng” instrument pulse animatedly on a fluid textured background that suggests the flow of music.
A combination of gold-stamping (to proclaim the celebration) and a dark blue (to symbolise the depth and stability of the occasion) marks the design of “A Resounding Golden Jubilee” as it honours the significance of Singapore’s 50th birthday and the enduring vibrancy of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.
